• I have seen the below error on a lot of forum posts from the past but I can’t seem to find a solution. I am running w3 total cache 0.9.2.8 on my Globat hosting and I get the below error when using minify.

Error Message: “It appears Minify URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration.”

My hosting allows .htaccess and I have confirmed on activation W3 total cache is writing to my .htaccess file. Is there a straightforward solution to fix this that I am missing in my searches? When I run the same version of w3 total cache on my Bluehost hosting account I don’t get this issue and it works fine.

    Your help is much appreciated.

  • There are 2 specific htaccess files for W3 TC, in addition to the one in your root folder. Have you checked them ? In wp-content/cache/minify and wp-content/cache/page_enhanced

@mreddy, yes there is .htaccess files in each of those directories.

I am noticing the minify css should be here according to my header.

    wp-content/cache/minify/000000/JY1BCoAwDAQ_1Fg9-KBUIxbbRrIR6e8teJrDDMwc4b1IWCPvNTdKbNNgWOKrtt8mAEE0bsBfjGBIEy6lE3K9i9DBmyTVi_zN7mKEk00oPe7a8B8-.css

However, there is no 000000 directory under minify and no style sheet in the minify directory. I assume that is why my sites comes up with no styles when I use minify. I suppose the error above is causing that but how do I fix it? Any ideas?

    Thank you!
