• Hi,

When I try to save the minify page settings (even with the default settings), it shows a page error and settings are not saved.

I found, in another post, the following workaround and it works great for me!
    1. Change the “Minify Mode” from “Auto” to “Manual” under General Settings.
    2. Update/edit Minify settings and click save (now it saves properly)
    3. Change the “Minify Mode” to “Auto” again.

Is there any reason why it only saves with Manual activated, and not Auto?

    Thank you

    Hello sme

I am not quite sure, but are you using shared hosting? The settings seems related to server related. Auto mode uses some pre-defined process that may require some special configuration and when the configuration doesn’t meet, it fails. I am not exactly sure what the required configuration though.

    Have a good day!

    Cheers

    Hi,

I was not aware of the compatibility test under W3TC and I ran it now with the following warnings:

    Not installed:

    Opcode cache
    HTML Tidy extension
    Mime type detection

    Not detected:

    mod_deflate
    mod_env
    mod_expires
    mod_headers
    mod_mime
    mod_rewrite
    mod_setenvif

Do I really need to install these modules under PHP for the plugin to work properly?

@sme, every module is responsible for some specific operation. So if you don’t want a specific functionality, you don’t need to install that module.

But I wonder, don’t you have mod_rewrite installed (it says not detected though) in your server? Are you on VPS or dedicated server? Or in any shared server?

I have confirmed with our system admin that all modules that say “not detected” ARE installed in our server.

I will look into the other issues.

    Thank you
