    Hi all,

I am working on improving my Google Page Speed Score. Currently working on “Eliminate render-blocking resources” which W3 has been extremely good at improving.

I wanted to ask if you could select “Minifi Mode: Auto” but still manually add CSS or JS that it didnt pickup?

The reason is if I do only manual I have to add a big list of things manually. When I do auto it does 90% of them just not 3.

Would it be possible to add just these 3 manually?

    There 3 left over are:
    …minify/366bd.css (my site)
    …css/ionicons.min.css (my site)
    /css?family=…(fonts.googleapis.com)

    Thanks,
    Sascha

    Hello @saschaehgmailcom,

If you select Auto minify you cannot any other files manually. I would suggest that you test your website on GTmetrix. THere you will see more details about the render blocking jS.
Also, we are recommending Manual minify as it is more complete and gives you more freedom on what files you want minified.

    Hi,

I did read somewhere that there might be some files that you cannot move and those should be left alone. So there may just be 1 or 2 or 3 scrips that if you move you will break you site.

I am afraid it is a case of trail an error. You will need to figure out which one of those cant be moved down.

This optimisation for speed is important but if moving these scrips/css down create UX or functionality problems you will need to leave them where they are.

    Good luck,
    Sascha

Hi Sascha, thank you very much
