• Hello,

    After a lot of research on the web, I couldn’t find any answer to my problem, so I hope someone here will be able to help me…
    I’ve built up my website with the theme Tripod and installed an e-commerce platform WooCommerce. I was able to change the language from English to French on all the site but the content of the mini cart is still in english !
    How can I change the words: Item / Subtotal / View my cart / checkout, to put them in french?

    Also, on the checkout page, I would like to change the titles of the three icons Billing / Shipping / Your order. Does anyone knows how to do that ?

    I hope someone will be able to help me, I am looking for it for days… Thank you in advance.

  • hi,

    i have the same problem did you resolved it?
    if yes how did you do?

    thank you

    After the latest updates, first of all the Worpress core changed the usage of localization/language files with th v4.0, then the plugins began to change the handling of localization afterwards.

    Before, the localization files were in a language directory under the woocommerce plugin directory as:
    https://www.yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages/woocommerce-xx_XX.po

    But later on, the localization files are now stored in un upper level directory under
    https://www.yoursite.com/wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce-xx_XX.po

    That is where you have to put your new languages files.

    And for the site’s defined language, now it is not declared within the wp-config.php as:

    define('WPLANG', 'tr_TR');

    It is not supported any longer.

    It is replaced by a language selector in the
    Wordpress-Admin/Settings/General

    You can add your site language to the config as:

    $locale='tr_TR';

    After your locale/language definitions, there will be a language downloader warning wtihin the Woocommerce settings.

    Hi,
    thank you for your answer but i haven’t update my wordpress i m still with the 3.9.2.
    the translation of woocommerce is ok exept for the mini cart plugin and i just want to translate it!
