MingleForum Skins Catch-22
-
The Mingle Forum looks like it could be a great plugin for us but we won’t be able to use it if we can’t get the skin color changed.
In the WP Dashboard, the page that’s displayed when I click on Mingle Forum/Skins shows the following: (1) a screenshot of the default (royal blue) theme; (2) a link “Get More Skins”; and, (3) a link that explains why the skins directory was moved to /wp-content/mingle-forum-skins/.
My file structure does show the skins directory as described in #3 above but it’s empty (even though the forum I created is showing up blue).
When I click on the “Get More Skins” link, I’m taken to the cartpauj.icomnow.com website. I completed the registration form but did not receive a confirmation email. I have been trying to login anyway but I get the message that I’m locked out. I was able to reset my password — received an email from cartpauj saying that was successful. But even with the new password, I get the error page that I’m locked out.
It appears that the only way for me to get skins for this forum is to be able to login to the cartpauj.icomnow.com site but for some reason I’m locked out!? This is a catch-22 (if you’re familiar with that term?)
Can someone help me get to the bottom of this so we can use this forum plugin!?
Thank you so much.
Deborah
