MIME type to display google map

Am trying to add a google map to a page, it does not appear as the MIME type is not correct. The hosting company says its a coding problem, the theme developers say its a problem the hosting compant should solve, so I am stuck in the middle, what may help is creating an .htaccess file and add a MIME type needed, any idea what the displaying of a google map MIME type is needed?
