• Ok, here is the issue. I set up Multisite to run on my community. I set up my first blog on the network to migrate my existing blog over to the network. However, I am experiencing the following issues:

    • Newly created Blog Posts do not show up correctly in my theme.
    • I was able to successfully import all my wordpress content from my existing blog to the network, but not all pages and posts are showing up as intended.
    • The Admin bar at the top is displaying my theme with an offset of approximately 20 pixels form the top.

Everything else is functioning as it should, but I cannot figure out how to fix the admin bar displacement issue nor can I get all my pages and posts to show up correctly.

    Existing Blog on primary domain.
    https://shinshuri.com

Network blog where main blog is being migrated to:
    https://shinshuri.olc.oraclesoftruth.org

I intend to map the primary domain after I get everything running as it should. Can someone please help me with this issue?

    Thanks,
    oraclesoftruth

  • The gap at the top is space for the admin bar, which isn’t showing up. If your theme doesn’t have a call to wp_footer, then the admin bar will not show.

    That’s not specific to multisite.

I was able to successfully import all my wordpress content from my existing blog to the network, but not all pages and posts are showing up as intended.

Then something happened to the export. I can’t see any issues that we nomally see with multsite not displaying subsites.

You don’t have any categories listed for starters. That would be an issue. check in the admin area that you do have categories. if not, run the import again.

Ok, So how do I get the admin bar to show up? Second, I checked my categories and they are all there. What do I do now?

Look in the theme’s footer.php to see if it has wp_footer in it.

    Did you try re-importing?

Have you tried switching to the default theme to see if that clears up either or both problems?

Ok. I tried re-importing my content but that did not work. I compared posts between my current domain site and the new network site I am importing to. and I noticed that there are some missing fields when editing posts. For example, the following fields are completely missing from the Post edit screen and create a new post screen in the network for this theme. I have not tried adding another blog yet so I don’t know if this across the entire network. Here are the missing fields I discovered.

    • Expert
    • Send Trackbacks
    • Custom Fields
    • Discussion
    • Author

I’m still working on the WP Footer issue.

Go into your posts and edit a post (any post).

On the upper right on the screen, see where it says Screen Options? Click that.

In the ‘Show on Screen’ options, check whatever you want to see ??

Ok. I got my Admin Bar fixed. Thanks for the insight and link Ipstenu. I have another question. How do I change the storage quote for an individual blog on my WordPress Multisite Network?

How do I change the storage quote for an individual blog on my WordPress Multisite Network?

Go to Network Admin -> Sites and click on Edit Site for the site.

    Go to the options tab.

    Site Upload Space Quota ??
