    I have a brand new install of the Events Calendar on my site, and I have made the migration to 6 as of today. I didn’t have any events. But all I have now is a pop up window that says “Migration in Progress.” At this point it seems like something is stuck indefinitely. Is this a bug, or ia there a way to fix this? Thx!

  • The same happens, when you delete all events and start migration.

    The update appears to have been released in an untested beta stage.

    Thanks for reaching out! We’re so sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with migrating. For what it’s worth, we are working on improving the migration process, and we will be releasing an update soon.

    For now, you don’t have to migrate your events, especially if you don’t have any. You can read more about migrating here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/migrating/

    @jaimemarchwinski @abzlevelup I’m having the exact same issue: I have 1700 events, and the migration preview process gets stuck at 348. I have reinstalled a backup of my site and a fresh install of TEC and TEC pro, but still no chance: I’m getting stuck this time at 349.
    Are you planning on releasing a corrective that addresses this bug? Even if this new version of the Event Calendar can work without having migrated to the new DB, it doesn’t make sense to update if it’s not to be able to fully use the new features of the Event Calendar + Pro.

    You may think that this is resolved but the issue still persists.

    Nice, so I will never be able to update to version 6. Maybe version 7 gets usable again ??

    Just chiming in to add that I experienced this issue as well.

    I also want to say that I intentionally deleted my events because I sync them from another system anyways and thought I could avoid the migration process and just start fresh. The migration banner notice still appeared in wp-admin so I clicked Start thinking it would process 0 records and be done. It got stuck trying to migrate, then I canceled.

    After canceling and dismissing the banner, all is well.

    A client had an issue from upgrading and the migrating to the new version of The Events Calendar.

    The migration is stuck 1783?events previewed and 186?remaining.

    Is there a quick fix for this?
