    Hello,

    1. I had 2 websites that got stuck during the migration. For the first one, installing version 2.5.0.1 fixed the issue, while for the second it didn’t.

2.I don’t know why this happened as they have the same plugins etc.

3.As for the website that got stuck, I've tried to downgrade back to 2.4.9 and upgrade to version 2.5.1, but migration is still stuck.

    I’ve now downgraded to 2.4.9.

Here are my options to upgrade:

    A. Await for the next update of the plugin and hope it solves the issue

    B. Delete all logged emails and upgrade to version 2.5.1, to see if this solves the issue

    C. Delete the new database tables that was created by upgrading to 2.5, and upgrade to version 2.5.1, to see if this solves the issue

Question 1:?As for point c. , I believe that during migration 2 tables were created. Can you confirm this and share the names of the new tables

Question 2:?What option do you recommend? A, B, C, or something else?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @ivo82 ,

Thanks for connecting to our support. We have figured out another case where users get stuck during the migration in the 0\XX condition, which might also be yours. We’ll share a beta version in short. Also, we are adding an option to Revert or Skip the migration if required.

We’ll update you once the beta version is available so you can try it on your end.

    Hello Muhammad,

    Thank you!

    1. It seems version 2.4.9 is working fine for now, so I rather wait for version 2.5.2 instead of installing a beta. When do you think version 2.5.2 will be released?
    2. Is it correct to say that version 2.5.0 installed 2 new tables in the database? Can you confirm the name of these tables?
    3. Even after downgrading to 2.4.9, I can see the 2 tables are still in the database, and have some logs (150 rows) as the migration got stuck half way. Shall I delete the tables before I upgrade to 2.5.2?
    4. Would it help if I also delete all logs, before upgrading to 2.5.2?

    Best regards,

    Ivo

    Hi @ivo82 ,

I want to inform you that we have released Version 2.5.2 update with the following fixes and improvements to streamline your migration process.

    FIXES

    • Fixed the issue where users were getting stuck in the initial migration stage.

    IMPROVEMENTS

    • On completing the migration process, limit the notice to the logs section only to delete old logs.
    • Added an option to disable migration notifications for seven days on clicking the cross icon on notice.
    • Added a new feature that allows users to revert a migration. This way, they can retry the migration process or switch back to the old logs interface if required.
    • Added an option to skip the migration process for those who do not wish to transfer their old logs and want to switch to the new interface.
    • Added permission check before creating/writing error log during migration.

Please update and do let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

    Thanks and regards,

    1. Yes
    2. Use revert migration option available in 2.5.2 to delete and clean related stuff in other tables.
    3. Yes, use the revert migration option after installing 2.5.2, before reinitiating migration.
