Migration question

    Hello, I have a current non-wordpress website. I installed wordpress into my website/blog directory. Once I get the website migrated over to wordpress, can I just copy the contents of the blog folder and all sub folders up to my main site, or is it more complicated than that? I don’t want to take down my site while doing the migration.
