    Hi,
I just migrated all the download manager posts to another site with wordpress export tool. All went good except for the shortcode already inserted in post and pages. Theese shortcodes are not calling the right ID because in the new wordpress installation the IDs are changed. How can I fix this issue?

  • Hello,

    Hope you are well.

Maybe the import process hasn’t finished successfully.

Can you please try after reimporting again?

Also, before exporting make sure that All contents have been selected.

    Thanks.

    Hi, i’m good, thanks.
I think i didn’t explained well my issue.
Let me explain better with a practical example.

I have various posts with wpdm shortcodes in them associated with several wpdm ids.

    For example: [wpdm_package id=’3419′]

When I imported the wpdm item in the new site I’ve noticed that they have different ids compared to the old website.

    Hi,
As you know, wpdm has no control over it, to avoid such issue, you need to move database tables directly hosting panel or use any db export/import plugin so that, IDs remain unchanged.

Unfortunately I’ll have to do this work manually :(.
Please, consider in the future to use a separate id from the post id, otherwise it will be a pain to migrate.

    Hello @stefanoianna

    Thank you for the mentions.

We will try to separate it in the future update.

    Regards
