Yes, the new version that we are working on will resolve the permissions issue that you are experiencing, but I am afraid to say that you may have to ensure permissions on wp-content to 777 recursively for now.

nooouuuu ?? I think is impossible on most of self-managed WordPress hosts,
And what about using of zip // wrappers to read and directly import single files?

I am having the same issue. I can’t set to 777 via my server host. Is there a solution for
