migration headache

    How did you migrate them?

    I paid someone to do it. Not very much, but a professional

    I’m sure it was the simple, common method.

    Went from TypePad to WordPress. All posts, pages, and comments were migrated.

    They did it correctly – as far as I can tell. Do you think I should ask them to fix this? I gave them the old URL and the new. Should they have noticed that there was a permalink difference? I am confused and worried.

    I can provide url if that would help.

    They should have noticed, yes. You can either put in an .htaccess redirect /sitename/ to the URL without, or you can edit your permalinks to put it back in.

    I would ask them to fix it, since they were paid for it.

    I guess putting it back in is the easy way out – if they cannot/will not fix problem.
