Migration from html to wordpress – how to allow images in root of directory

  • hi,
    I recently migrated quite a big site to wordpress. Is there a way to allow the images that are in the original site to be accessed from within and outside of wordpress

    eg

    mysite.com/myimage.jpg

    is still in the same place on the file system, its just it doesnt seem to be visible any more. im guessing wordpress changes some permissions when it installs

    Its quite an old site and some of the links to images I cannot control

    ignore this, im being silly. it seems the wordpress installation deleted the image files somehow. readding them works
