I currently use Flexi Quote Rotator but, as that plugin doesn’t seem to be supported any more, I’m looking into moving to Flexible Quote Rotator Plus instead.

Is there a way to migrate my existing quotes to the new plugin without having to type them all in again?

Hi – There’s no automated mechanism. You could use cpanel/mysql to do an export/import.If you know how to use those tools….

Be aware that this plugin might behave a bit differently than the older flexible quote rotator plus. Good luck!

Thanks for the idea. The export/import did the trick. Much easier than re-typing.

With a few tweaks to the format, I’ve got it displaying exactly the same as the old plugin. I found that it picked up the modifications to styles #quoterotator and #quoteauthor from my stylesheet but ignored the old style #quotearea. However, the new options in the settings for font style fixed that for me.

Only grumble I have is that it didn’t put enough space between the end of the quote and the beginning of the author’s name. I had to add a padding-left option into the #quoteauthor style to fix that.

Great, glad it helped/worked out. I’ll try to take a look a the padding.
