Migrating WordPress Website

I have wordpress installed on a subdomain (wordpress.example.com). As the webhost is using Plesk Panel, WordPress was installed automatically as an application on the subdomain. I am creating a new website on wordpress and would like install wordpress on the root directory of the domain (example.com) and move the data over once finished. I cannot develop the wordpres website on the domain’s root directory now because I would like to keep the current site “live”. Can somebody tell me how to move the finished wordpress website to the root directory once it is finished? The problem I am having is trying to figure out how to do this with WordPress being installed as an application on Plesk Panel. Thanks.
