• I developed a site on a server using php 5.6.3. Unfortunately when it came time to migrate to the live site, I find out Godaddy has them on 5.3. I upgraded it to the only other option, which was 5.4. It still fails on import. I’ve never had this happen before. Any way around this? I have doubts Godaddy will upgrade the php any higher (don’t ask me why… I wish I knew!). Ideas?

Contact GoDaddy. They have plans with newer PHP versions.

I’ve already asked the client to contact them regarding this. Figured it was worth a shot, but I do recall going through this a few months ago and they wouldn’t upgrade, nor could they tell me how much memory and processes were available for a client-they said they didn’t have access to that information. (Yes, I had the login and call-in pin, but they just said they didn’t know)

Or, use a better host like SiteGround that supports PHP7. Why start with old tech? They are 4th in the list here:

Which is alphabetical, but I say they should be first. Notice GD is not there.
