• Resolved mymic

I just migrated my site over to GoDaddy.com but when I try to access the wp-admin in the url I get the following error message:

One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.

I did what the repaired link told me to do but it still gives me the same error message. Any suggestions?

  • What method did you use to export the DB from your old host? As well as what method did you use to import your database into GoDaddy?

I did it through phpMyAdmin for both.

Odd.. If the DB from the old server is working and the new is not, something changed in between.

Have you tried repairing the DB on the old server before exporting it. Maybe something is going haywire during the export.

Umm, ok, I’m new to this so I’m not sure what you mean by “repairing” can you please elaborate.

    Thanks

Sure, If you log into phpMyAdmin on your old server and go to the DB in question you will see a list of tables. Check all of them. There is a dropdown at the bottom of the tables. Select “Repair”.

It may ask you to confirm the action but that if how you repair tables using phpMyAdmin.
