Migrating: Old site different installation directory. What tables do I to fix?

  • I’m in the process of migrating my blog from an old host to a new host.

    The old host had the blog installed in
    beforewisdom.com/blog

    It would automatically redirect from & to just beforewisdom.com

    The new host has the blog installed in just
    beforewisdom.com

    I just migrated the tables over, and the site doesn’t work. I get a blank page. The URLs in the location bar look like its trying to redirect to beforewisdom.com/blog

    Which tables and fields to I need to update to resolve this?

    Found it via Google.

    wp_options

    I had to edit the URL where option_name = siturl and where option_name = home.

    I also had to switch to a theme that was in the new installation.

    Thanks anyway, hopefully this post will help a Googler in the future.
