Migrating Multisite to new host

Hello, I’m going to migrate a Multisite installation with more than 1000 blogs and 300 registered users to a new host.

My only doubt is with the database (the most important point I think).

Should I do a Database backup using SSH MySql dump? I have read the WordPress article about backing up the DB, but the problem is that in the old host I don’t have cPanel or phpMyAdmin, its a raw dedicated rack. In the new host I have cPanel, phpMyAdmin and everything else, so the problem is more like backing it up, rather than importing)

Is there any other way to do the backup and save all the data, other than doing a dump in SSH? Including which wordpress theme each user has for his blog, the comments, the plugins used by each blog, etc.

Any help on this point appreciated.
