    Hi
I want to migrate from yoast to your plugin. My site is in Persian. I want to know do I loose anything? Is there any feature in yoast but not in yours?

For example open graphs? Focus keyword?

And if I use your plugin, I don’t need anymore this plugin? Schema App Structured Data

    Thanks

    Hi Amir,

Both Yoast and The SEO Framework (among other plugins) are taking Google’s Search Engine head-on to provide you with the best possible SEO experience. Both plugins are very well up to date and many features are still to come.

I myself have not used Yoast, so I can’t really comment on how it will perform. However, at a glance, I noticed some differences.

The features that distinguish Yoast (free) from others:
    – It allows for a focus keyword, on which you can target Google users to become more prominent it search.
    – With that, it analyzes your content, to help you make it better.
    – It shows you a direct snippet preview as to what it would be in Google (note that Google might make up its own mind on this one in certain circumstances).
    – It allows you to select a prominent category.
    – It allows you to rebuild your permalinks.
    – It has an advanced sitemap.

The features that distinguish The SEO Framework (free, there’s no premium) from others:
    – It tries to be non-intrusive; by automatic all that can be automated.
    – With that, it generates titles, descriptions, etc.
    – It allows for 301 redirects.
    – It automatically prevents duplicated content.
    – It prevents content theft through RSS feeds.
    – Many features can be controlled, with over 90 settings to play with.
    – It shows you basic SEO status per page, post, product and term at the overview.
    – It creates hidden breadcrumbs, and other schema.org LD+Json data for Google to read.

In version 2.8.0 (December 2016) of The SEO Framework, the Schema App Structured Data plugin should no longer be needed. I have not checked it out, but from the features it shows on the plugin page… The SEO Framework will be very much alike.

When switching SEO plugins, your previous SEO data will not be lost; but it will require transferring.
StudioPress has made an awesome plugin to help you transfer that data.
You can read how to here.
The options are “WordPress SEO” for “Yoast”. And “Genesis” for “The SEO Framework”.

You will however lose your general SEO Settings, which affect the whole site.
So you’d have to reconfigure the settings to your liking on the SEO Settings page.
The default settings are recommended. However, I do want to steer you into the right direction by at least filling in the “Home Page Settings” and the “Knowledge Graph Settings” metabox.

In the near future, many more features will be added to The SEO Framework, either directly into the plugin or through The SEO Framework Extension Manager (beta).

I hope this all clears things up! I wish you all the best ??
