    Hi,

I am in the process of creating up a WP site on a Windows Server (IIS6)(avenuetennis.asteraweb.co.uk) but because of the unfriendly URLs I need to move it to a new domain and server running Linux (www.avenuetennis.com).

The current site has data from a MySQL dBase and a number of active plugins that I want to keep. The only reason for the move is the pretty permalinks.

When I did a straight copy of all files the permalink structure kept ‘index.php’ in the url. I know that the new Linux server will allow mod_rewrite.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? I guess it could be quite simple… (or should that read hope!)

    Thanks
