Migrating followers from the same URL

    I have recently updated my site and I have already deleted the old site at the same URL.
    I did not migrate the followers before hand. I can see both the old and the new site but because the old one is deleted it is no longer accessible and therefore the migration tool doesn’t work as it can’t see the old site.
    I do have a back up of the old site.
    Also I am using a free version of jetpack so I don’t have access to the support ticket system.
    Can anything be done to salvage the old followers lists?
    I was able to find this topic in the forum but in all the situations I found the old site hadn’t been deleted yet and the support person moved the situation to a support ticket and migrated the followers and stats themselves. I haven’t found any instructions for migrating the stats myself and I’m not sure if that information still exists.

    Hi there,

    I was able to find your old site as it’s still connected to your WordPress.com account and I have successfully transferred the followers to your new site.

    Thank you so much – this is great. I was thinking it wasn’t possible and I had lost my stats and followers. Yay.
