• I moved my sites to a new server. I copied all files, created a new DB, imported the old one, changed the DB information on wp-config.php.
    DNS are already propagated.

When I try to access the site, it asks me for my DB login/pwd (as to enter the DB administration mode).

The host says the server is OK, it should be something on the script. Did I forget anything?

If it helps, the WP site is on a subdomain. I get the error if I access it to site.domain.com but if I try domain.com/site (that’s the directory structure where site.domain.com points to) than I have the “Error stabilishing DB connection” message.

    Thanks for your insights

Make sure that everything in wp-config.php (including the database host name) is correct.

Indeed I checked 5 times before but it wasn’t enough. There was a mistake.

Now when I access site.domain.com I still get the DB login.
But If I access domain.com/site then the WP installation screen appears. But all the data from the older server is there.

Is this a DB or config issue?

    ps: the address didn’t change.
