Migrating a blog from one host to another

  • I will soon be transferring a website from one host to another and will be changing the CMS as well. The site currently has a WordPress blog incorporated into it, when we do the switchover I’m concerned about the migration of the wordpress blog. Does anyone know:
    1. How to migrate the WordPress Blog from one host to another?
    2. With the migration will I be able to backdate the posts to the dates they were actually posted on?
