• Hey guys, I just migrated my website to a new server with the same domain and I’m having some issues with it now.

    So, my issue here is:

My index page works after the migration, but all other links to other pages on my site do not work, and i just get this message – [an error occurred while processing this directive]

I followed all the correct procedures when migrating my website to the new server, but on my new server, I installed it under home/username/public_html/MPN

and on my old server it was installed to just home/username/public_html

so I feel like that may be the problem, but I don’t know how to fix it..

  • you have installed into a sub folder of the domain.
you will need to read this: install in a folder

Hey, I still can’t quite get it to work. I don’t have an htaccess file, even after setting it to see hidden folders, it just isn’t there. I believe I’m trying to ‘Point my home site’s URL to a subdirectory’ but the instructions tell me to edit the htaccess file which I don’t have. What can I do?

See Giving WordPress Its Own Directory. Don’t worry about the .htaccess file. You may not have had one if you were using the default permalink structure.
