I have a quick question. Tonight I migrated my website to a testing URL at WP Engine.

This isn’t the exact testing URL, but is just an example:

    website.wpengine.com

My live website (www.mywebsite.com) is now giving me a warning that my live website is a copy of the testing URL (website.wpengine.com)
    and mentioning safe mode.

How can I go about reconnecting my live website
to Jetpack while I’m working on the testing website? I want to make sure I don’t lose anything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

Since you are seeing safe mode on the main site then you’ll want to click the “Fix Jetpack’s Connection” button and then “Migrate Stats & Subscribers”.

More info can be found here: https://jetpack.com/support/safe-mode/#what-does-the-safe-mode-notice-look-like

I disabled the plug-in on the testing URL.

I’m getting ready to change the URL of the staging website to the live domain.

Can I just te-activate the plug-in and connect
Jet pack with my normal login credentials?

Will it bring in my subscribers, etc,?

    Hi there,

Could you please share the screenshot of the message?

This will give us an idea about the next step. Picking the correct option from the safe mode notice will help you to keep subscribers and stats on the correct site. Even if that will not bring your subscriber and stats, we can do this from our side but this should be the last option and the first step should be to resolve the issue from your side.

To upload and share a screenshot, you can use this platform: https://snipboard.io

Details on how to make screenshot can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Is there a way I could send this screenshot privately? I’d rather not openly post the URLs it displays.

I do believe I am going to need some help recovering these. The migration link didn’t seem to work. What would be the best course of action to receive this help?
