Migrate WordPress from Localhost to Web Hosting – for Newb

I am new to WordPress and BitNami. I am trying to develop a typical workflow. I generally start websites on a background area of my own website’s hosting so the client can view progress and provide feedback. Being new to WordPress, and wanting to do a significant amount of customizing to the theme I am using I decided to start by using my localhost. I would now like to migrate the site in progress to my web hosting and later to the client’s hosting which currently houses the site that will be replaced by the one I am working on.

I have searched and found several sets of instructions for doing this but I am somewhat intimidated by the terminology. I would be very grateful for a simple – easy to follow – set of instructions to accomplish these moves.
