i have been using YoaSt for several yrs. I just switched to AIO. But I notice that AIO now displays none of my previous post keywords. That’s 7,000 post keywords. Unless I can migrate them, AIO is much less useful to me. Pls let me Know if I hv any options.

somehow during an update, my YoaSt installation was wiped out due to a memory errors . So I don’t know whether any of that data still remains to be migrated

    Hi @richards1052,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Did the update/memory issue with Yoast happen before the migration?

Could you tell me if there was a message in AIOSEO indicating that the migration was complete?

    Thanks!

I figured out the issue. You need to have Yoast activated in order for the migration to work. I’m used to deactivating 2 potentially conflicting plugins. So I only had AIO activated. Once I activated Yoast as well it worked.

There is one feature that would be helpful for me. I only started using keywords/keyphrases about 2 yrs ago. SSo there are several thousand prior posts w/o any. I would like to make those posts more accessible by adding keywords/phrases. But I would have to do each one manually by opening the post page, navigating to the keyphrase box, entering it, updating. Then I’d have to do that 5,000 times. IF there was a way to easily isolate all posts w/o keyphrases, then open the quick edit screen/box and add the keyphrase, that would automate it much better. I would prob upgrade to a premium subscription if it was possible. Just a thought.

    Hi @richards1052,

Good to hear the Yoast SEO import worked for you.

To isolate the Posts or Pages without a Focus Keyphrase, please go to All in One SEO > DashboardAIOSEO Overview and then select the Post Type, then click on the link text – Without a Focus Keyphrase. This will then display a list of the pages or posts, etc. I’m sorry, but that feature is not part of the Quick Edit.

With that said, it is important to note that only adding Focus Keyphrases wouldn’t make any difference to the SEO of your website as these keyphrases aren’t visible to Google, they’re there to help you optimize your content around that phrase.

Our recommended approach is to add the Focus Keyphrase and optimize your content around it. We provide our TruSEO and Page Analysis suggestions to help you optimize your content.

    Here’s a guide with more details –?https://aioseo.com/docs/understanding-the-truseo-page-analysis-recommendations/

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!

My site is not a commercial one. So I don’t have a product for which I can start with a focus phrase and then build a post around it. I write a political blog and post about current events, news and issues. So I start with an event or a political issue and write a post about it.

I suppose I could get an idea for a post, then create the phrase to match the event or issue, and then write the post with that in mind. But it would not be the way I would normally work. So I’m not sure how to approach this.

I’ve noticed since installing AIO, when I write a post and add a focus phrase it gives it a low rating (between 35-50) and lists all the things the phrase doesn’t cover. So it’s a bit hard for me to figure out how to match my site content to SEO optimization and focus phrases.

But I will check out the AIO pg to which you linked.

    Hi @richards1052,

    Thanks for the follow-up.

The Focus Keyphrase feature is used to help guide you in creating or editing the page content for the subject that you would like the page to get ranked for.

These are recommendations only, they are based on our best practices. You do not have to follow them rigidly if it means it will affect the quality of your content.

Your?content quality?is the primary ranking factor with all search engines and you shouldn’t change your content if you feel that it won’t benefit your audience. You know your audience better than anyone else.

    Thanks!

    Hello Mr. Burns,

I downloaded AIO to replace Yoast and migrated all of my data from Yoast to AIO through both set up wizard and import/export. None of my meta descriptions or focus key phrases are transferring over from Yoast. Do I need the SEO Data Transporter plug-in? Or is there another reason this could not be transferring?
