    Hi !

This plugins looks amazing, but I have a question.

I have hundreds of posts on 1 website and thousands of ratings on another plugin (kk star rating).
The plugin I am using has no support and a lot of bugs.

Do you think it would be possible to add something like a “migration module” to help other users (like me :D) to switch to your plugin easily ?

    Thanks !

    Hi @timfdv,

I think that this shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll look into it and let you know. I’ve got several requests for migration tools and I’m planning to add them very soon.

    Hi !

It would be awesome ! Thanks a lot ! Can’t wait to try it ??

Hello is the same situation for us but with “Yet another stars rating”.

Of course you can not make this work for every single plugin out there but this 2 are quite popular. If we could migrate it somehow even via nasty solution from PHP tables that would be great.

I’ll do my best to include migration tools for yasr and kk star rating in the next version which will be released at latest next week. KK star rating saves the data the same way as Rate my Post so I don’t see any problems here. Yasr is a bit more complicated and will require more testing. I’ll keep you updated.

@timfdv version 2.4.0 with migration tools for kk star rating is released ?? I only tested migration with the latest version of kk star rating plugin, so I recommend updating the plugin before migration. In case that you encounter any problems, please let me know.

Support for other rating plugins will be added in the future versions.

@timfdv I’m happy to hear that it worked well. Let me know about AMP – it’s still in Beta ?? By the way I’ve seen you started translating the plugin. French translations would be great ??

    Hi !
I just tried to make it works on AMP (with AMP for WP) and it seems to work pretty well !
It’s not really easy, but following your “howto”, it’s ok ??

Yes I tried to translate it, but I don’t have much time. I do it step by step when I find 10min to do so.

I’m happy to hear that @timfdv! Yeah, I must admit that it’s quite a hassle to implement AMP compatibility ?? There are different plugins with different settings and for each of them it’s different procedure. So, it requires some dev skills ??

No rush with the translations. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate them ??

    @manuxx34,

you should have YASR plugin installed and enabled. Then find migration tools in Rate my Post plugin, click migrate and that’s it ??
