Migrate followers from a Mastodon instance?

    Hi! I started a Mastodon profile for my site in an external instance and got a few thousand followers there.

    Now, I’m studying to install this plugin in my WordPress site to make itself my “fediverse presence”, but… I don’t want to lose all those followers.

    Mastodon supports migrating accounts between instances keeping followers. Is this possible with this ActivityPub plugin?

    Hey @rghedin the plugin currently has no import for followers and I am not sure if it is that easy, because your URL/profile changes. I think you have to tell mastodon somewhere that you want to close your instance in favor of your blog. But that I would not recommend at the moment. The plugin currently only support others to follow your blog, but you can not follow anyone (at least not out of the box), so it is not (yet) a complete replacement of a full flavoured mastodon like social network instance.
