Hi There, just purchased this plugin and am using it now.
I cannot export Customers. I keep getting this error message …

    This site can’t be reached

The web page at https://somethingsomething.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=woo_ce&tab=export might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Of course I’ve changed the URL.

Hey and also, I downloaded the FREE Importer only to find out I now have to also buy the Pro version. What’s the story with that? An extra $95USD what a ripoff mate.

Hey and I keep getting this crap.

I have changed the settings on the Importer to ASCII and saved. I get a notice that the settings have been saved.

I then go to Import the CSV I exported via your Deluxe Exporter that I had to buy and keep getting this frustrating message …

It looks like the saved character encoding set under Settings > General Settings > Encoding – UTF-8 – doesn’t match this import file which was detected as ASCII.
If after importing Products you experience corrupted text within Products try setting the encoding option to ASCII.

If I’ve already saved the settings to ASCII then why does the Importer settings keep changing back to UTF-8?

Oh, hang on, let me guess. The setting will only stick if I buy the Pro Importer Version? Would that be right?

“Product Importer is a free import Plugin for WordPress that enables store owners to bulk import Product details from simple formatted files.”

Hi ZAAAX, thanks for raising this. Regarding your export query does the “This site can’t be reached” notice appear after some time (e.g. 30-60 seconds) or immediately when trying to export? If it is then it sounds like a timeout limit may be reached and your server is giving a different response. If you want to look at this further please open a Support ticket with us

Regarding your import query, that notice appears when we compare the saved Encoding type against what the PHP function mb_detect_encoding() tells us it is seeing, when the two do not match then we suggest changing the Encoding to resolve this. I recall in one major release that this was done automatically but this change was revoked so I will compare the free and Pro code-bases as this may still be happening in your case.
