Midia Panel not showing
-
When I try to roll down the midia panel, to search for older images, I can see only part of them correctly. When I reach the end of the panel (and then it was supposed to load and show more images), the panel goes black, not showing anything more.

@tomazcavalcante Hello there! Thank you so much for sharing those screenshots.
1) I’d like to check for any obvious plugins that could be causing this conflict. Could you provide your Site Health information? You can share privately if you prefer.
2) Meanwhile, you can try testing this on your end as well by using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.
– Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
– Enabling plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
– Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.3) Could you please check for any browser console errors?
Hello, Luckyna!
1) site health information sent privately
2) I′ve done just as you told me. I have installed the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enabled the troubleshooting mode. I enabled just the the web stories plugin. The issue was still present, and happening the same way as before. Not any other plugin or theme was active. I stopped here as it seems theme and plugins were not causing any trouble, and disabled the troubleshooting mode.
3) no errors found in the console while in the troubleshooting mode enabled, but the issued was still happening. https://enauti.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/console-1.png
I disabled the troubleshooting mode and, errors appeared in the console, but as before, the midia disappears after scrolling down the gallery. https://enauti.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/console2.png@tomazcavalcante Thank you for submitting. To confirm, could you check if you get the same error in an incognito browsing window? This will rule out any conflicts with browser extensions or caching.
Also, who is your hosting provider?
Yes, the same thing happened with incognito browsing.
I am using hostinger (hostinger.com.br).
In the mean time, I have installed web stories plugin version 1.10.0, and the problem did not happen. But probably because the web stories I have already published were produced using a newer version than 1.10.0, I could not edit them anymore. Most probably, if I use some plugin version between 1.10.0 and the actual version, I will be able to edit the stories already published and the problem reported here will not happen anymore. I just dont know which version would work. It would be a demanding install-and-check each version starting from 1.10.0.
@tomazcavalcante Thank you. We strongly recommend using the latest version of the Web Stories plugin as it includes bug fixes and updates.
Could you please check for any warnings or errors about REST API when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status)?
Hum… no, no message related to REST API. I′ve opened them all and read, and no mentions about REST API. Just these issues:
https://enauti.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/rest_api.png3 Critical Issues:
i. You have themes waiting to be updated
ii. Your site may have problems auto-updating plugins and themes
iii. Background updates are not working as expected5 recommended improvements
i. WordPress update available (6.0)
ii. You should remove inactive plugins
iii. 301 .htaccess redirect is not enabled.
iv. Not all recommended security headers are installed
v. Persistent object caching is not enabled@tomazcavalcante Thank you for the details. If possible, can you resolve the critical issues on your site and then check Web Stories once more?
The critical issues were caused by the Easy Updates Manager Plugin, which I use to control the theme version I am using. I have deactivate the plugin and removed all critical issues. After that, I tested the Web Stories plugin and the issue, sadly, continues. I have reactivated the Easy Updates Manager Plugin after that.
I dont know if you can, but if you dont mind, I can offer you admin access to the wp, so that you can check whatever is necessary.

@tomazcavalcante We are not allowed admin access per forum guidelines, but we’d like to work with you to get the [dashboard and access to templates] up and running again.
If possible, can you set up a fresh WordPress install on your host with just the Web Stories plugin active and try again to see if you encounter the same issues with the media panel in the stories editor.
I have tried something slightly different, as I have another wordpress site in another domain, but in the same host. In this different Wp site:
1 – I installed Web Stories plugin.
2 – loaded about 200 images (I need them to check the issue, as the media panel only goes black after the second scroll until the end and of the panel).
3 – tested the issue in the media panel of the Web Stories plugin. At this point, it seemed to me that everything was working, but I noticed something weird. The media panel was only showing the last 40 image uploaded to WP and, after scrolling until the end of the panel, it would load the 40 very first images loaded to the WP site. The other (about) 120 images loaded in between were not showing. To check the issue, I selected to show only “images” in the menu just above the media panel (option “All Types/images/Videos)” and everything worked, showing all images now. Selected again “All Type”, and again only the very 40 last and first images uploaded to the site were showing.
4 – disabled all plugins excepted Web Stories plugin (i had not done that before), and tested one by one. With everything turned off the Web Stories plugin presented no issue: all images loaded correctly in the media panel. But as I tested each of the plugins, the issue could not be repeated. After turning on all plugins again, this new issue did not happen again and everything is working fine. Conclusion: in this new WP, the plugin is working ok, although at first it presented some issues loading all images in the media panel. This was a different issued than the one that originated this thread. After disabling and enabling all plugins, the issue was gone.
@tomazcavalcante thank you for the detailed response. Can I just clarify that when you say “After disabling and enabling all plugins, the issue was gone.”, do you mean the issue you first had with the new WP site or have you also resolved the original issue you reported?
I was telling about the new WP site.
I tested disabling and enabling the plugins in the site with the original issue (just like I did in the new WP site), but the issue continues.@tomazcavalcante thanks for confirming and sorry to hear you’re still facing this issue. If possible, would you be able to send a screen recording of the issue happening? You can use a service such as Loom to record and share the URL here.
Hello, Adam!
Please find the video here:
I′ve first showed the issue, and after that I have navigated a little bit on other functionalities available regarding loading of images, just to show that the issue is only with the media panel.

@tomazcavalcante Thanks for sharing this.
With everything turned off the Web Stories plugin presented no issue: all images loaded correctly in the media panel.
It sounds like there is a plugin conflict because Web Stories media loads fine when enabled by itself. In your screen recording, it appears other plugins are enabled along with Web Stories too which is why we still see the issue.
Perhaps, you can do another test of disabling plugins and start with the first half of your plugins. If the issue does not occur after disabling the first half then we can suspect the conflicting plugin is in the other half. If possible, could you try again?
