Since disconnecting and reconnecting with the plugin we can no longer set up a data source via the pixel.

It advises the pixel is ‘Not ready. Products can’t be automatically added to, updated in or deleted from your catalogue because required microdata tags have not been added to your pixel installation.’

We installed the pixel via the partner integration with the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin so the microdata has been set up in the integration.

The microdata debug tool shows we are missing the id, availability and price fields. Can you advise how we fix this? Is it only possible via a website developer?

  • Hello @carriekay

I’d be glad to help you get this sorted!

It looks like the required metadata isn’t being passed to Facebook. We’ve seen a few cases where a plugin/theme conflict caused an issue like this.

    Here’s what we recommend:

    * Temporarily switch the theme to the Storefront theme
    * Deactivate all plugins besides WooCommerce and the Facebook for WooCommerce extension
    * Run a Facebook sync at Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync
    * Check to see if the products sync to the Facebook shop

If they are, re-enable plugins/theme one by one until you find the one causing the problem

    * When you find the one causing the problem, look for an alternative solution or reach out to the author of that plugin/theme
    * We also have a guide on conflict testing here.

If the above does not work, please send me a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your response.

Once we have that information, we’ll be in a better place to help.
