• Hello, I’m seriously hitting my head against the wall on this one. It’s been driving me nuts for a few days now.

OK, now that I got that out of the way here’s my problem. I’m using MH Magazine Theme (v3.0) on the following site.
    https://www.onewestmagazine.com/magazine/

Everything looks great here on this page, you can click on the items of interest and it takes you to it.

However, if you click on the navigation items (ie. Entertainment, Fashion, Lifestyle etc.) It takes you to a page with only a title for that page which I created.

For example if you click on one of the articles like Entertainment, you will notice breadcrumbs on that page at the very top. If you click on MUSIC in those breadcrumbs, it displays all the articles in the category MUSIC (https://onewestmagazine.com/magazine/category/music/). This is what I want to see displayed when the navigation tabs are clicked…the various categories that belong with each one.

Has anyone else encountered this? What did you do to get around it? Please help! I’m losing it over here ?? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi rafalmazur,

commercial themes are not supported on www.remarpro.com. You should verify your purchase and then use the premium support forums in case you have a question regarding your premium theme.

However, the approach you’re trying is not how WordPress is supposed to work. You shouldn’t create regular pages for your categories if you want to display category archives as these archives are created by WordPress out of the box.

So simply add your category archives as menu items to your navigation and not pages, that’s it. You can do this in your WordPress dashboard under “Appearance => Menus”.

To learn more about categories in WordPress, you also might want to have a look at this: Difference between WordPress Categories and Tags.

Thank you for the response anyway. It was filled with some useful information. I appreciate it.
