    Hi there,

I activated the checkbox in the checkout section so my customers can subscribe to my mailpoet newsletter.
Whenever the checkbox is checked and you click on “buy now” the following error appears for my users on the screen: “Method sendConfirmationEmail() does not exist in class MailPoet\Models\Subscriber”

The order won’t be completed as long as the checkbox to subscribe the newsletter is checked.

I have no errors in my mailpoet log.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi @spielzeugfuchs,

When checking your checkout page, I see there are two checkboxes:

    – A WooCommerce legal checkbox to agree with general terms and conditions;
    – A WooCommerce parcel delivery authorization to receive an email from the parcel service provider.

I could not see any opt-in checkbox related to being added to your MailPoet list.

Can you please check if you have properly set it up in the MailPoet’s settings?

    Hi Bruna,

thank you very much for your reply.
I had to turn it off because my customers can’t finish their order when this checkbox is activated.

Now I turned it on again.
I don’t think it’s a caching issue because I tested it as well when all caching plugins were turned off.

    Thank you!

    Hi @spielzeugfuchs,

Thank you for enabling it again. I just tested going through the checkout process, and I was able to place my order without checking the opt-in checkbox for subscribing to the list.

Can you please check if the issue persists for you?

    Hi @bruberries

sorry if I expressed myself unclearly.
Only if the opt-in checkbox is checked, the user can’t place an order and the error message ocurs.

    The issue still persists.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi @bruberries,

I will let the checkbox be activated until friday, because my customers run in trouble if they want to subscribe the newsletter.

If you can’t check in time, please let me know and I will activte the checkbox again ??

    Thank you!

    Hi there @spielzeugfuchs,

I can confirm that our developers have just released a new MailPoet version that fixes this issue.

Can you please update MailPoet and confirm that it works for you too?

    Thanks for your patience!

    Cheers

    Hi @danielinhou,

    unfortunately the issue still exist.
I updated the MailPoet to the latest version and cleared my cache.

I will keep the broken checkbox activated for tomorrow but I will deactivate it soon so my customers won’t run into any issues again.

    Thank you very much!
