I hate to be a pain, but i’m bumping this

Users that don’t have Editor or Administrator privileges have their posts filtered through kses for security reasons. You can use the role editor plugin to give Authors ‘unfiltered_html’ privileges or simply bump Authors to Editors.

I’m the only user on this blog, so surely that needn’t apply?

If you are an Administrator or an Editor, you shouldn’t be filtered. If you are being filtered, sounds like we have a bug.
