Metaslider not working WordPress 5.3

    Hi

    I have just recently upgraded to WordPress 5.3 and my Metaslider is not working. All I get is a blank screen when I go to the activated plugin.

    I try to create a New Slider, it looks like it is thinking down the bottom left corner but nothing comes up.

    Then I click on “Add Slide” just to test and it allows me to choose and Image and OK, and then it says “Saved” bottom right. But I cannot see anything at all.

    It says “wordpress error fetching list of slideshows” but there is none in there. I wanted to create some new ones.

    Not sure what is happening to it.

    I have tried to downgrade to another version same thing.

    Any advice please ?

    I’m having the exact same problem since yesterday. Everytime I restore the website and try to activate the metaslider plugin again it crashes again.

    Here’s some infos that might help:

    URL: zambrano.pro.br

    WordPress vers?o 5.5.1
    Tema atual: Salient (vers?o 12.0)
    Plugin atual: MetaSlider (vers?o 3.18.2)
    PHP vers?o 7.2.32

    Um erro do tipo E_COMPILE_ERROR foi causado na linha 89 do arquivo /home/u427635862/domains/zambrano.pro.br/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/ml-slider.php. Mensagem de erro: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/u427635862/domains/zambrano.pro.br/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/admin/lib/helpers.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php72/usr/share/pear’)

    That doesn’t sounds like the same issue at all. Different error, different WP version. Can you open a new issue for this so it doesn’t email everyone else?

    But when you see a message indicating that you can’t open a file, you should check the file is there. Often you just need to delete the plugin and re-install it.

    Let me know in the issue you open whether that had any effect and whether you saw any new errors or not.
