    Hello,

    I wanted to install meta-slider plugin on a wordpress network install.

    So I went to my network > plugins and clicked on metaslider link “active on the network”.
    Once I’ve clicked, I have a fatal error :

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method MetaSliderPlugin::get_instance() in \mywebsite\wp-content\plugins\ml-slider\ml-slider.php:2217 Stack trace: #0 \mywebsite\wp-settings.php(285): include_once() #1 \mywebsite\wp-config.php(118): require_once(‘\mywebsite…’) #2 \mywebsite\wp-load.php(37): require_once(‘\mywebsite…’) #3 \mywebsite\wp-admin\admin.php(31): require_once(‘\mywebsite…’) #4 \mywebsite\wp-admin\network\admin.php(13): require_once(‘\mywebsite…’) #5 \mywebsite\wp-admin\network\plugins.php(11): require_once(‘\mywebsite…’) #6 {main} thrown in \mywebsite\wp-content\plugins\ml-slider\ml-slider.php on line 2217

    I bring some infos :

    – I have metaslider version 3.5.1 installed on the my wp network.

    It work perfectly.

    When I put the 3.10.3 files, it propose me to install it on my network. (not normal because it’s already installed)
    Maybe it has a too big gap between 3.5.1 and 3.10.3 versions ?

    Hi @frances2823,

    Delete 3.5.1 and install 3.10.3. It looks like it’s using some files from both versions, which will definitely break. I believe the method MetaSliderPlugin::get_instance() that it’s failing on was added around 3.8.

    Let me know if it works after that.

    oh yeah

    that’s it, my bad ??

    I have put the old versions files in an other folder and put the new files in the ml-slider folder, but WP consider 2 versions are installed and recognize the old files

    sorry ??

    Hi @frances2823,

    No problem at all, glad to hear it’s working! We actually add some support for users to change the file name so better if you move it outside the plugin directory ??

    By the way, if you’re enjoying MetaSlider please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out and let others find our plugin more easily. If you don’t think we deserve the 5 stars please let us know how we can improve, too. Thanks!
