    This is probably a theme conflict, can you post a link to the page you are having this issue with?

    Thanks for your reply Josh, I am using a twenty-twelve theme and a child theme. The post is in private mode since we are still solving the issue of the alignment.

    I dont need to add a metadata for the align correct?

    These alignment options should work with all the default WordPress themes, so there is probably a styling conflict with your child theme. If you want to send me a login I can take a look.
