• I had the need to use this great plugin but I found that custom metadata fields and values were not being updated from the revision. I was able to update the plugin to add support for this, although the preview page doesn’t display any of the metadata fields, but for now for my purposes just previewing it should suffice to tell the difference.

Here’s a diff (ignore the fact that I’m using git) in case you’d like to include this for the next version: https://pastebin.com/92PTH0iB

I have done some work with custom field revisioning, but don’t support it via this public plugin release.

How would we go about getting support for passing metadata fields?

We currently use WPTouchPro to provide a mobile version of our web site. The plug-in creates a separate content area to publish alternate code versions of pages on mobile devices. When a post is scheduled for a later date, the code in the custom area is updated immediately. Below is an email from their customer support regarding this.

    Hi Erik,

I’m afraid we’re not particularly familiar with the way Revisionary works so it’s a little hard to predict what might make it function. We save the contents of the Mobile Content field as metadata associated with the post, which WordPress doesn’t store revisions of out of the box.

You might want to reach out to the developers behind Revisionary to see if they would consider expanding their plugin’s behaviour to also include post meta.

    Thanks,
