• Hello everyone. I was commission a website, first to do the design. It will be design, but it won’t allow anyone to edit the site (only by a Meta-box or Content Fields on a internal page (where you can add the text (like the widgets).

For example, front page: edited on the back page, with editable regions. With limit of words. There are about 5 pages to be edited (via the same edit page on the back end).

Any ideas how to do it most efficiently? I was thinking to use widgets, BUT, it would be too messy (on the widget zone).

I’ve done this using the plugin Advanced Custom Fields. The pro version also allows you to create blocks for the block editor, if you don’t want to stay with meta-boxes.

Sorry to ask different, but I cannot do this two times (the project).

I am working on a site (about to start), and the owner is giving the client ability to edit the text, but only on an admin pane (to preserve the look of the site. The site is needs to have boxes with limiting the amount of text is imputed. Say, 300 characters per box. There may be 4 boxes on the front. In about us, may be 2, etc. I will need to have an admin page where all these pages get edited. Does this plugin do that?

Yes. Go to AdvancedCustomFields.com and look at some of the examples and code.
