• The theme I installed and modified (Antique) came with certain widgets, but if I want to add a widget through the admin, all the original widgets from the theme, vanish… so I guess a certain php page from the theme (probably sidebar.php) is being replaced by another one (I don’t know which).

But no problem… I simply re-add all the widgets that came bundled with the theme. The problem is that the Meta widget from the admin area has a lot more links than the original Meta widget, and I don’t want all those links… I just want login/logout and the admin area link. The Meta from the admin has several other links I don’t want or need.

How do I customize the links that show up in the Meta widget added from the admin area??

    Thanks in advance!

Although there are ways to edit the meta widget itself, the most common advice I’ve seen from the moderators is to create a text widget and put the links in that. If you Right-click>View Page Source you can copy/paste from the existing meta widget and then edit out the links you don’t want. Put the new text widget in the sidebar and remove the meta widget.

Thanks a lot, it seems to have solved the problem. This new text widget now shows as a new Meta widget with the edited links, just as predicted.

    Efficient reply and problem solved!
