The page title meta is the entry name. The page meta description is created from the Excerpt field; if that is blank, the Bio field is truncated and used.

Here’s the link for some SEO tips:

so my issue is if i have a craft shop called “A Craft Shop” then this is the entry name however i want the meta title to be “A Craft Shop | Textiles, Ceramics & Homeware” then i can’t do this. The customer doesn’t want all that in the entry name as it isnt there name however these are keywords for the business that should go in the meta title.

The only thing i can see is sitewide meta data i can add but i want each entry to be unique meta title content without spamming the entry name. Sorry if i explained that badly but is this possible?

There is no direct way to set the meta title manually. There is the cn_meta_title filter that you can hook into.

Using this hook, you can watch for specific titles in the $piecesarray and alter it as needed.

I hope this helps; please let me know.
