    Hi,

duiring a facebook debugger check, i’ve noticed that there’s a wrong meta tag; trough the wp maintenance i’ve disabled all of plugin and find that this meta tag was added by advanced ads.

So, how could i remove this?

    <meta name=”description” content=””>

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi jumpin666,

    thanks for reaching out.

I don’t think Advanced Ads is adding this line, because there is no code in the plugin that would generate it.

However, I believe that this might be the line that normally contains a short description of the content as you set it for example in an SEO plugin.

Could you please check if content="" is filled with a value when you disable Advanced Ads?

If so, then I believe that some function in your theme or a plugin might try to generate the content of that field automatically and the problem is somehow there. Let’s first see if I am right about this being filled when Advanced Ads is disabled.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas!

Sorry for the late reply, i can’t figure it out because everytime i disable the plugin the site stops working, so i must fix this before taking any test.

    Thanks for your follow up

    Hi jumpin666,

    > everytime i disable the plugin the site stops working

Good to know, maybe I can help with that.

While Advanced Ads does not store anything that could break a site when you disable the plugin, it is possible that this happens when you use one of the plugin’s PHP functions to place an ad, a group, or placement. Like the_ad( 123 );. Maybe that was used in one of your template files.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

again thank you so much for this tips; i’ll look further, but as you stated before, i don’t think that advanced ads could be the culprit ??

    I’ll update soon!
