i don’t work with any seo plugin;
however, i assume it has more than sufficient options to add whatever meta description is needed; possibly, you need to edit each page to find the meta boxes to enter individual descriptions. for posts, it seems to use the excerpt automatically.
where do I look for meta descriptions for my pages, or the absence of a meta description?
in your browser, when viewing a page, click ‘view’ ‘view source’ (or similar) on the browser tool bar – this will show the html code of your site, where you will find an area with the output from your seo plugin:
<!-- All in One SEO Pack 1.6.13.3 by Michael Torbert of Semper Fi Web Design[316,335] -->
<link rel="canonical" href="https://www.yoursite.com/?page_id=4" />
<!-- /all in one seo pack -->
(the above is from your ‘about’ page – no meta description).
the following is from your latest post – automically generated excerpt as meta description:
<!-- All in One SEO Pack 1.6.13.3 by Michael Torbert of Semper Fi Web Design[316,346] -->
<meta name="description" content="Chongqing's Cotton Club. One night during my week long gig, she walked in" />
<meta name="keywords" content="joni mitchell, chinese, cotton club, chongqing, dying voices, silenced,,chongqing,cotton club,creative writing,flash fiction,guitars,joni mirchell,reflections,short stories" />
<link rel="canonical" href="https://www.yoursite.com/?p=198" />
<!-- /all in one seo pack -->
generally: meta descriptions don’t seem to be too important for search engine rating, however, they are usually the bit of content showing with the search result – so it is more for your human viewers…
