meta tag and search engine indexing

  • hello

    is the meta tag used for inserting keywords and descriptions so that the search engine can find my posts and index them?

    if not, how do i go about doing this?

    nevermind that.. i found the info on codex for it.

    if anyone can recommend the plug-ins that can automate this process (setting individual keywords and descriptions by their post content) that would be helpful.
