  • Hi @mobilerfahrradservice,

This url was posted by another user. Is this your site? Specifically, do you have control over the admin area?

Have you tried any of the steps I mentioned in the other post?

    Hi @kbat82

I′ve given the mentioned steps a go and results are:

Can you enable arrows on the slideshows just to test if they work?
I′ve enabled arrows, but there is only the first picture visible and no arrows are displayed.

Does the slideshow work in the preview area on the settings page?
The slideshow is fine in the preview and works properly.

Can you add one slideshow to a separate test page to see if that works in isolation?
The slideshow did not work and acted the same way as the other one.

    Hi @mobilerfahrradservice,

The preview feature runs in isolation from other plugins on your site (for the most part) and if it works there and no on the front end, that implies the fatal error happening that I mentioned on the other post.

You’ll have to deactivate your plugins one by one until the issue is resolved, then if you let me know which plugin is causing the error, I can try to reproduce the issue myself.

If the issue isn’t resolved by plugins, it’s then a conflict with a function being used by your theme. The way to determine this is to switch to a default WP theme for a moment.

Let me know what you discover.

    Hi @kbat82,

thanks for the reply. Deactivating the plugins one by one is no option at the moment. I need my site up an running.
Switching/Changing the theme is also not an option. I spent a lot of time and effort to get some things “right” and I don′t have the time to do it again.

I′ve switched to Crelly Slider. It works without any issues and maybe some future update of Meta Slider resolves the issue.

    Cheers,

    Simon

    Hi @mobilerfahrradservice,

The issue wont resolve, unfortunately, unless an update with the plugin causing the error resolves their issue. If you are interested in debugging still, deactivating plugins only puts the site offline for a few seconds (deactivate, reload page, activate).

Alternatively, our other plugin UpdraftPlus has a “clone” capability where you can make an exact clone of your site on a VPS server then make any changes as you wish. This is a paid feature, but anyway it’s just an option if you’re interested.
