• Hi, i cloned couple sites to new domains all works fine but when i turn off “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” and check website code its still showing:
    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,nofollow” />

    tried everything (SEO plugins, changing template, etc and nothing) and seems its working fine on the original domains where sites were, so probably something happened during the move to new domains.

    Is there a way to fix this or edit manually somewhere?
    Thanks

  • Slow down.. If u made ur site no follow from anyway (best way for WP is settings>reading>
    check

    Discourage search engines from indexing this site

    then it is ok.. google need some times (for rare case, 10-12 days) to remove all your content.

    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,nofollow” />
    on code, also SEO plugins like SEO Doctor say site is noindex

    Had this problem in another site but just reinstalled WP and noindex disapear but this one tried everything can get that noindex/nofollow from code…

    Do ur theme have a theme option? if yes, check, if not then have a look at theme/header.php
