Meta Refresh to new url

  • I created page in wordpress (2014 theme) and the only content on it is refresh code — <meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”0;url=https://example.com/” />

    It works but it takes 20 secs for it to launch new page. I set up page outside of WordPress and it is instaneous.

    its a bit of a special need (I need to track clickthrus and GA isn’t best solution)

    Why so long to refresh thru I wonder.
